The Porplemontage Studios Podcast is a podcast that includes the members of Porplemontage Studios. It is part of the Porplemontage Studios Audio Channel.
History
The Porplemontage Podcast started out as some test runs at first, but got a lot of people interested in it. So much so, that a forum was created to talk about the episodes, and the podcasts were forced to reduce the number of people involved do to overcrowding and the lack of focus (although later episodes have been doing better, the podcasts still weave from one topic to another in a very confusing way to some listeners). Generally the podcasts talk about toon updates on their site, new episodes coming up, merchandising, people on the forum, internet fads, and more. The podcast cast also answer questions posted on the podcast forum on the show as well, always at the last half of the show as a sort of 'wrap-up'. The only episode to not follow this format after it was introduced was Episode Nine, where they announced the winners of the Porplemontage Awards of 2006.
Starting with Episode 13, the format of the podcast was be retooled, due to the amount of people in Episode 12 (which was made into a non-canon episode.) The show was hosted by Porplemontage and Zachary Hinchliffe, and featured 1-3 guests per episode.
The Podcast was cancelled after episode 17, due to the fact that people were not showing up according to the schedule. There was talk of a live Radio talk show. However, this fell through.
In September 2006, Zach restarted the podcast unofficially. The new format, which has him as the weekly host with 3 guests, was accepted and made into the official continuation of the podcast. The podcast section was merged with the radio to form the new Porplemontage Studios Audio Channel. New episodes are recorded every other Sunday, usually.
Big contributors to the podcast are Brandon P (Zeno), Alex Price (Friends in a Can/Teasdale Times Two), and John Bosson (Spacenauts), although others have been known to make return appearences.
