PMSWiki:Rating scale
From the Porplemontage Studios Wiki
Porplemontage Studios Wiki uses almost the same system as the american television rating system:
- WEB-Y7 (may not be suitable for children under 7)
- It may be more appropriate for children who have acquired the developmental skills needed to distinguish between make-believe and reality. Themes and elements in this program may include mild fantasy or comedic violence, or may frighten children under the age of 7. Therefore, parents may wish to consider the suitability of this program for their very young children.
- Note: For those programs where fantasy violence may be more intense than other programs in the same category but still not intense enough for a WEB-PG (V) or a WEB-14 (V), such programs will be designated WEB-Y7 (FV).
- WEB-PG (parental guidance suggested)
- The rating may find unsuitable for younger children, but parents may want to watch it with them.
- WEB-14 (parental guidance suggested for children under 14)
- Parents are strongly urged to exercise greater care in monitoring this program and are cautioned against letting children under the age of 14 watch unattended.
WEB-PG and WEB-14 ratings may be accompanied by one or more of the following subratings:
- V for violence
- S for sexuality
- L for coarse language
- D for suggestive dialogue
- WEB-Y (suitable for young children)
- The themes and elements in this program are specifically designed for a very young audience, including children from ages 2-6. This program is not expected to frighten younger children.
- WEB-G (suitable for all audiences)
- This rating does not specifically mean the program is geared towards children, though many parents will find it suitable for children.
- WEB-MA (suitable for mature audiences or adults only)
- This program is not intended and should not be viewed by audiences under the age of 17. The program may contain extreme graphic violence, strong profanity, overt sexual dialog and/or explicit sexual acts.
